Why is the ANC silent on Malema's hate speech? - TAU

Ben Marais asks whether the ANCYL president is above any form of morality

Zuma needs to say about Malema at talks with Afrikaners

TAU SA has noticed with absolute aversion of the ANC Youth League Leader, Julius Malema's adjustment of his predecessor Peter Mokaba's song, "Kill the Boer, kill the Farmer" ("Shoot the boere, they are rapists") at the University of Johannesburg.  TAU SA has noticed with the same amount of aversion of the silence from the ANC and its leaders on this issue and the fact that no disciplinary action has yet been taken as this song has already been declared hate speech.  TAU SA's president, Mr Ben Marais, asked if Malema, as crown prince of the ANC, is above any form of morality and whether he is above the law.  "Are the ANC structures and its leaders afraid of this chap, who is not only damages the images of his party, but also the image of the country.  Time and again he gets away with his contentious, radical and now also disgusting statements."

Mr Marais pointed to the fact that the ANC leader, president Jacob Zuma, invited TAU SA, together with other Afrikaner organisations, to a conference on Thursday.  "TAU SA will use this opportunity that Mr Zuma created to put this issue on the table and to force him to answers and actions against Malema.  Mr Zuma's answers and actions will be an indication to the farmers, the country and the world about what can be expected from the ANC in future.  TAU SA will then hold all its options open and will adapt its strategies according to that.
