Xiluva would move SA from constitutional democracy - Bongani Baloyi

Party leader promotes shift to parliamentary sovereignty, wants to remove provincial govt

Move from Constitutional Democracy to Parliament Sovereignty

29 April 2024

With just one month left before the elections, Xiluva is upscaling its Election Campaign even further as we push harder to rally South Africans to vote differently. We have been campaigning persistently since our launch in March last year and with the unveiling of the party's billboard in Soweto today, our commitment is unwavering.

As we approach a pivotal election that will shape our future, we call on South Africans to reject decades of ineffective governance as we reflect on the progress made in the 30 years of democracy. Citizens must recognize the significance of their vote in steering the nation towards a path of development and prosperity while learning from past shortcomings.

The risks associated with the ruling party's continued rule include the potential for further entrenchment of corruption, lack of accountability, and failure to effectively address pressing socio-economic challenges such as unemployment and crime. This could perpetuate a cycle of underdevelopment, erode public trust in the government, and hinder progress towards a more prosperous and equitable society.

The country must consider alternative leadership that can prioritize good governance, transparency, and inclusive policies to mitigate these risks and strive for a better future for all South Africans.

Therefore, correcting the government from the top is essential in prioritizing good governance. Leadership sets the tone for the entire government structure and influences decision-making processes. As such, Xiluva will:

Reconstruct Government by,

1. Moving from Constitutional Democracy to Parliament Sovereignty

2.  Reduce Cabinet by half

3.  Remove Provincial government and have 2 spheres of government (National & Local)

4. And reduce municipalities to 60 districts and devolve all provincial powers to district municipalities

With Xiluva Leader Bongani Baloyi's successful track record in Midvaal Municipality in Gauteng, supporting Xiluva is a catalyst for ushering in positive transformation and instilling hope for a better future in South Africa.

This election presents an opportunity for all of us to make a collective stand for a better future and demand accountability from our leaders to ensure the survival and progress of our country.

We urge voters to recognize the power of their vote in saving South Africa from a looming crisis.
