"Kids watched them die!" - Daily Sun

The front page and lead story of SA's larges daily newspaper, March 11 2013

Daily Sun (March 11 2013) - TWO small children were forced to watch as three men gang raped their mother, their gogo and a tenant. In a long night of terror that lasted until the morning the men raped the women repeatedly as the children, aged two and four, looked on. AND IN A FINAL ACT OF BRUTALITY THE KIDS WERE FORCED TO WATCH AS TWO OF THE WOMEN WERE SUFFOCATED!

The horror events started when gogo Dina Masuku (62) and her daughter Phumzile Masuku (26), a school teacher, were watching TV. Three men forced the 19-year-old tenant to let them into the house in Emaphupheni section in Etwatwa, Daveyton. That was at 8pm on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, just before sunrise, the men tied up the two women and suffocated them by covering their heads in plastic bags. The plastic bags were taped to their necks.
