EFF Limpopo statement on the killing of farm workers by white racist farmers

26 August 2024

The EFF Limpopo condemns in the strongest possible terms the brutal killing of two women by white racist farmers.

This gruesome incident happened in Sebayeng outside Mankweng in Polokwane on the 17th August 2024. The two ladies were shot and killed by white farmers and later fed them to their pigs to hide evidence.

We wish a speedy recovery to the male worker who survived the shooting.

This horrific act is satanic and racism of the highest order. Unfortunately, these incidents continues to happen because perpetrators are not given harsher punishment that can deter them from behaving in a manner that is worse than animals. White racists continue to believe in their small minds that black lives do not matter. The EFF will never tolerate this conduct and we will do everything in our power to uproot it. We cannot have a situation where certain sections of society think that they are more superior then others and that they have the right to life than others.

We call for the closure of this farm with immediate effect to allow proper investigation to unfold without any hindrance. The law enforcement authorities must also check if the two killers are not flight risk.

The EFF further calls for the expropriation of this farm without compensation for the benefit of the community and the workers who suffered in the hands of their evil employers.

The families of the deceased should be direct beneficiaries of any production which is to happen in the farm. The EFF will be giving necessary support to families.

On Friday the EFF will be in court again to support the families and confront the evil perpetrators.

Our branches will picket on the farm for the entire week to ensure there is no work done.

SPCA must put down all the pigs and burn them for they were exposed to human flesh.

Furthermore, the SPCA must charge the farm owners with abuse of animals.

Let's unite against farmers who have turned our land into fertile grounds to reduce black population.
