EFF response to the SACP statement on Blade Nzimande’s alcoholism
26 July 2015
The Economic Freedom Fighters rejects the self-declared maturity on the part of the SACP as pure hypocrisy. Responding to the CIC Julius Malema’s speech at the EFF 2nd Anniversary Rally, the SACP wrote that they, “reject defamatory insults hurled at its General Secretary”. This was in response to CIC’s explanation that Nzimande’s wishes that EFF be killed are a consequence of his drinking problem. Indeed only a drunk pseudo-communist could decide to incite hooliganism and violence against other socialist parties while leaving all liberals and bourgeois nationalists to flourish.
The SACP started the provocation by calling for the killing of the EFF and thought the EFF will not respond. We have responded and we shall never stop until Nzimande retracts his irresponsible and politically intolerant call for the killing of the EFF.
Devoid of conceptual options to respond to EFF, the SACP then went to the Public Protector’s report on the CIC. They argued that society must reminded of the Public Protector report called “On the Point of Tenders”. This is despite the fact that the state has instituted a criminal case against the CIC on the basis on this report and that the CIC will be responding to all those charges during his trial next month.
Responsible citizens do not mobilize against independent state institution and silence their reports like Zuma does, instead they present themselves to the courts in order to be held accountable. The CIC will appear in court because he has done nothing wrong and this will be proven during his trial.
