IFP: ANC IN A BID TO DESTROY PRINCE MANGOSUTHU BUTHELEZI'S LEGACY FROM HISTORY
INKATHA Freedom Party (IFP) is seriously concerned with the ongoing plans by the African National Congress to eradicate Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi's legacy from history.
"It is obvious that the ruling Party (ANC) is not ready to work together and form a respectable relationship with IFP. ANC is constantly finding ways to cause conflict between itself and IFP," said Leader of the Official Opposition in KwaZulu Natal, honourable Blessed Gwala.
Gwala says this after the ruling party has announced that it has set aside money to rename uMvoti Municipality's Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Street whilst other road names will not be changed.
"This is not the first move of the ANC's mission to oust Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, if we could recall that this comes after the ruling party succeeded in renaming Mangosuthu Highway to Griffiths Mxenge. How long will this go on, where we find ANC deliberately disrespecting and causing further conflict with IFP. The ruling party should stop wasting money on unnecessary street renaming and focus on service delivery," said Honorable Gwala.
IFP is disappointed that ANC is still going on with separation of Amakhosi according to their location when it preaches working together and not discriminating in any form. IFP is disturbed by ANC's move since this form of behaviour used to be practiced during the apartheid regime where people were discriminated according to where they come from.
