ANC GAUTENG CHAIRPERSON TO LEAD DELEGATION TO THE E-TOLL REVIEW PANEL
The ANC Gauteng Chairperson Comrade Paul Mashatile and Provincial Secretary Comrade Hope Papo will lead the ANC delegation tomorrow to make a submission to the E toll review panel at the Gauteng Legislature, 09h00 -12h00. The ANC Gauteng submission follows the resolution of the 12th Provincial Conference on e-tolls. The ANC Gauteng supported the establishment of the panel as part of a response to community issues raised during the 2014 elections campaign. The process to review the socio-economic impact of e-tolling is the only credible means of testing the public sentiments hence its critical for the ANC to make the submission. .
The ANC must always be on the side of the people and understand community concerns. We must know that urban space in Gauteng is a precious commodity and we can only use it more efficiently with better infrastructure. Therefore promoting sustainable infrastructure and an integrated transport system is imperative for economic vitality of the Gauteng Province. The ANC submission must help the Province to ameliorate the problem of the current system of e-tolling and find lasting solutions that will create a conducive environment for road users and communities.
