The Congress of the People is elated with the Constitutional Court's decision today to grant South African expatriates who are registered to vote for the April 22 general elections the right to vote.
We believe this to be a validation of every South African's right to exercise their democratic right to choose the government of their choice.
COPE believes this decision is a vindication of its long held position to defend the constitution of South Africa and ensure all institutions of our democracy including the right to participate in free and fair elections are protected.
