COSATU Limpopo province hereby throws its full weight behind, and in support of, the call by the COSATU General Secretary, that the matter involving the Ratanang Trust , allegedly solely owned by cde. Julius Malema, and its alleged accumulation of wealth sponsored by business people who have benefited from state tenders, should be thoroughly investigated by state crime-combating agencies as a matter of urgency.
We must also add that such investigations should not be limited to the Ratanang Trust , but should also investigate business people involved and all other individuals with links to government tenders who have accumulated massive wealth in a very short space of time.
We fully support the call by the general secretary for a thorough going forensic investigation into the provincial government and municipalities.
We would also want to re-assure the people of Limpopo that the march we had earlier planned, is still on the cards and will take place within four weeks or so.
We should uproot corruption where and whenever it raises its ugly head, so that our children should focus on education and we avoid building a youth society of tenderpreneurs.
