Enoch Matshaba shouldn't get bail - COSATU NWest

Solly Phetoe says alleged killer of Moss Phakoe should co-operate with police

Moss Phakoe case: COSATU NW will not lose momentum

The Congress of South African Trade unions in the North West will not lose its momentum in its campaign against the bail application of the alleged killer of Moss Phakoe.

COSATU has today spent the whole day at the Rustenburg following on the proceeding of the bail application of Enoch Matshaba who is accused of killing Moss Phakoe in 2009.

So far COSATU still feels very strongly that the suspect should not be given bail until he has given the police all the information and also revealed the people who hired him.

COSATU calls on all the police to speed up the arrest all other suspects they know to be involved in the case.

The case has been postponed to Monday 5th September 2011 and COSATU will also be there in large numbers to make sure that he does not get bail

COSATU calls on the community of Rustenburg and the members of COSATU to come out in numbers to support their cause.

We are also disappointed by SABC TV for its continuation of sabotaging the story. For the third time we are asking SABC TV to respond on our question on whether is a political instruction not put up the story, or is it by default. We are asking the SABC TV not to come to this court anymore; they must go to their instructors.

We are convinced that SABC TV in the NW is politically managed on the matters of corruption, that there are stories they are told not play and there are stories that they would want play as per the instruction those politicians and we want to know who those politicians are.
