The Department of Transport on e-tolling

The Director-General in the Department of Transport, Mr George Mahlalela reported that SANRAL and the Department of Transport will postpone the implementation of the e-tolling unitl 30 May 2012 to finalise regulations following input on regulatory and administrative issues from the public and interested stakeholders.

ANC STATEMENT ON THE DELAY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF E-TOLLING SYSTEM.

The African National Congress welcomes the decision of the Department of Transport to delay the implementation of the e-tolling system by a month. This shows leadership and responsiveness on the side of the government.
