Daily Sun (May 9 2014) - THE PASTOR and many church members came to pray for Nothile's ill sister to get better. But while people were praying and singing, a strange, drunk man arrived at the house . . . AND SPRINKLED MUTHI ON THE DOORSTEP!
"He seemed confused, as if he didn't know where he was or what he was doing," said 24-year-old Nothile Makhathini from Inanda Newtown B, north of Durban.
Nothile told Daily Sun she had organised the prayer meeting because her older sister had been in and out of hospital for the last five years and wasn't getting better. Nothile's elders were away from the house at the time.
She said the pastor and members of the Christian Assembly Ministries came to the house on Wednesday evening, when suddenly the man arrived.
"We were singing and praying for my sister's recovery," she said.
"Suddenly I heard loud screams from church members who were standing in the kitchen, as the dining-room was full. I couldn't believe it when people shouted that someone was sprinkling muthi on our doorstep. We all ran to the kitchen door."
She said they found muthi on the floor and chased after the man, who was trying to run away.
"But we caught him easily because he was drunk."

Area committee member Khanyisile Ngcobo (48) said she was called by angry residents who wanted her to see what was going on.
"I arrived to find the angry residents had already tied the man's feet together with rope," she said.
