EFF Statement On The Release Of The Two Racist White Men

The Economic Freedom Fighters in Free State is disturbed and disgusted by the release of two of the three white males following their racist attacks and charges of attempted murder, common assault and Crimea injuria.

We oppose their release because they received preferential treatment in a sense that they were arrested today and immediately appeared in court on the same day. The magistrate went beyond simply giving them preferential treatment; he or she destroyed any remaining optimism that black people would not endure discrimination at the hands of white people.

We are utterly disgusted by the conduct of the SAPS to handle this matter discreetly and hide it from the EFF and the pubic in general. This happens despite the EFF indicating their interest in the matter and it being the only political party that showed up.

The transgression that these 3 white males have made goes far beyond swimming pools, rather, it is part of a long history of whites that always sought to undermine black identity and making it abnormal, insufficient and uncivilized while presenting white identity as the standard for humanness and humanity.

As such, the EFF will not allow these racists to do as they please under our watch. Racists must pay a heavy price for bringing the past into our current epoch and making it bitter for all black people and Africans in general.

The EFF will not allow any form of racism, in our benches, swimming pools and all public areas. No amount of racial segregation shall be tolerated in this day and age, we will continue to cut the throat of white privilege whenever it tries to show it's ugly head.

The EFF Free State calls on all progressive forces and fighters to join us tomorrow for the 3rd perpetrator's court appearance. He is currently charged with attempted murder.
