SASCO flattens DASO in NMMU SRC poll - SASCO

Congress says it has reclaimed the university from a committed agent of neo-liberalism (Sept 19)

The unstoppable SASCO tsunami sweeps NMMU

19 September 2013

The South African Students Congress (SASCO) is in the seventh heaven after a decisive defeat of the Democratic Alliance Student Organization (DASO) at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) during SRC elections. We are overjoyed to have reclaimed NMMU from a committed agent of underdevelopment, neo-liberalism and the archenemy of progress-the Democratic Alliance (DA). SASCO is now in charge of the NMMU SRC and we vow not to disappoint students in addressing their challenges. SASCO will continue to champion and defend students' interests.

SASCO's victory at NMMU is a continuation of the decisive victories scored at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), University of Free State (UFS), Central University of Technology (CUT), University of Zululand (UniZULU)and North West University (NWU) (Vaal and Mafikeng Campuses). We also continue to be hegemonic in FET colleges. We declare without any fear that we will win all the remaining SRC elections in universities. SASCO's continued victory in SRC elections is a sure sign that the ANC is destined for a decisive victory in the 2014 general elections.

No one will stop the SASCO tsunami!!
