ActionSA notes the withdrawal of the MONC in Executive Mayor of City of Tshwane

29 August 2024

ActionSA notes the withdrawal of the ANC-sponsored urgent Motion of No Confidence (MONC) in the Executive Mayor of City of Tshwane in Council today.

The withdrawal of the MONC is appreciated, as it allows ActionSA enough time to conclude our internal review of our position within the multi-party coalition in the City of Tshwane.

We are in the process of concluding consultations with our Gauteng Provincial Executive Committee, Regional Executive Committee and Caucus members in City of Tshwane, and will be embarking on an oversight visits to assess the level of service delivery in different regions in City of Tshwane.

Once this review process has been concluded, ActionSA will be in a position to communicate our position in City of Tshwane.

We remain committed to our strategic priorities, which includes insourcing, inner-city rejuvenation and immigration, as well as improved service delivery for all residents of City of Tshwane.
