ANC MOURNS PASSING OF CDE YOLANDA BOTHA
The African National Congress has learned with sadness the passing of Yolanda Botha, the Provincial Treasurer of the ANC in the Northern Cape. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and loved ones.
Her untimely death following a long battle with cancer has robbed the ANC and the people of the Northern Cape of a dedicated and selfless activist and leader who had dedicated her life to the service of our people.
Comrade Yolanda was known for her strong views on gender issues which resulted in her being elected to the NEC of the ANCWL. She made her mark in the provincial government and legislature both as an MPL and as an HOD before being re-affirmed to the National Parliament.
We take this opportunity to thank her family for having shared her valuable life with the majority of disadvantaged South Africans. Her mark will be a symbol of determination to be emulated by future generations. May her soul rest in piece!
