Zwelinzima Vavi's response to NEHAWU statement

John Dludlu says it is cheap political point scoring for the union to be dragged into this (Feb 13)

Mr Vavi's statement

February 13 2014

In respect of a statement issued by Nehawu in relation to Mr Zwelinzima Vavi, we wish to state that Ms Thabisa Ngema, Mr Vavi's step daughter, stayed with her younger cousin sister Homely Nondela at Mr Fikile Majola's Midrand home when the story of a supposed conflict of interests first found its way to the media. Ms Ngema was apparently employed by VMS for two weeks before someone who had a political mileage to gain leaked that to a weekend newspaper.

After that she was kicked out of the union's general secretary's house.

We believe it is cheap political point scoring to drag Nehawu into this, and use scare tactics in the union's name.

Statement issued by John Dludlu, Vavi family spokesperson, February 13 2014
