ANC in Gauteng blurs line between state and party – Solly Msimanga

DA Gauteng leader says it isn’t clear if job advertisement is a govt initiative or an ANC initiative

ANC in Gauteng blurs line between state and party with latest job advertisement

13 June 2023

The unemployment rate in Gauteng is high and the provincial government has recently announced a slew of job opportunities available in the province. However, the lines between state and party are being blurred.

While this initiative is commended, the Democratic Alliance (DA) is concerned that the ANC is using this as an electioneering tool.

Recently an infographic was released by the ANC, advertising Premier Panyaza Lesufi’s latest job offers.

This is worrying as it raises questions on whether this is a government initiative or an ANC initiative.

This appears as if this is just another attempt by the ANC to buy votes with only short-term job opportunities.

Our residents deserve a government that is willing to equip them with the skills needed to find long-term employment.

We will be monitoring the roll-out of the job opportunities that the Premier announced in his State of the Province Address (SOPA) this year.
