EDEN DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY MUNICIPAL MANAGER REINSTATED 

The suspended Municipal Manager of Eden District Municipality, Godfrey Louw, was reinstated by the South African Local Government Bargaining Council, 3 May 2011. The Council deliberated that  Mr. Louw's suspension by the ANC-led Eden District Municipality was unjust and he was fully reinstated and will return to work on Monday, 9 May 2011. The DA welcomes the decision by the Council to reinstate him as the Municipal Manager.

Mr. Louw was illegally suspended in October 2009 when the ANC took control of the Eden District Municipality. The unlawful suspension of Mr. Louw was conducted by the same chairperson who has recently illegally suspended three DA councillors in the George Municipality. The DA is confident that justice will prevail in the case of these councillors as well and that they will be reinstated .

The power drunk ANC just cannot get it right -  instead of governing properly to the standards set by the DA , the ANC continues to waste taxpayers money on DA witch hunts.
