ANC YOUTH LEAGUE CONGRATULATES ANC YL FORMER NEC MEMBER CLIFFORD MOTSEPE FOR WINNING THE BEST PUBLIC SERVICE MANAGER:

The ANC Youth League congratulates Comrade Clifford Motsepe for being awarded the best Public Sector manager in South Africa at the Annual Black Business Quarterly (BBQ) Awards for 2011. Comrade Clifford Motsepe, ANC YL Graduate and leader of the ANC in Limpopo is one of the best if not the best Public Servant in the whole of South Africa (see report).

Over the past 3 years, Comrade Motsepe was recipient of 19 awards of excellence and all the government departments and municipalities he has led always secured clean audits. This includes the Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, which he currently leads as Head of Department.

Virtually all sections of the media have turned a blind eye on his achievements, maybe because he is closely associated with the ANC Youth League and its leadership. It appears that the only people media houses associate with the ANC Youth League are those they deem to accuse of corruption and questionable practices in the business and public sector. This is not only wrong, but totally unacceptable because on many occasions, incumbent leaders of the ANC YL and its recent graduates are amongst the best of the best in all responsibilities assigned to them.

Comrade Clifford Motsepe is one of our own, an outstanding public servant and true cadre of the ANC. Everyone should acknowledge and appreciate success and progress whenever it happens, and avoid being selective. The ANC Youth League is proud of its graduates and will forever celebrate when they are acknowledged and celebrated by other sectors of South African society.
