SACP Mpumalanga, 8th Congress PEC, 8th PWC Plenary Session statement, March 11 2014
The 8th Congress Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) of the South African Communist Party (SACP) in Mpumalanga Province convened the 8th Plenary Session of its Provincial Working Committee (PWC) on Sunday, 09 March 2014. The meeting was held in Mbombela, to look the current political developments and prepare for the next PEC Plenary Session scheduled for the 16 March 2014. The PWC received and considered the Political Report, which was presented by the Provincial Secretary, and further dealt with preparations for Provincial Council.
The meeting took place after a successful National Election Workshop which was held in Johannesburg from the 21 - 23 February and Central Committee Plenary Session 28 February - 2 March. The workshop equipped comrades for the second phase of our campaign and the Central Committee a correct political guidance in the national democratic revolution and the struggle for socialism.
The meeting further noted the official opening of the new airport in Swaziland which the celebrity want-to-be king decided to name after himself.

We are extremely disturbed by the continued hatred for communists in Mpumalanga Province. We will continue to represent the working class and raise critical issues which negatively affect society, without fear or favor.
