DA’s Jackie von Brandis elected new George mayor – Tertuis Simmers

The DA in the Western Cape is proud to announce that Jackie von Brandis was elected today as the new Executive Mayor in the George Municipality.

Jackie has served the municipality as a DA councillor since 2016 with distinction. We are confident that her election will ensure the continuation of good, clean governance, and that, under her leadership, residents of George will receive excellent services.

We are also pleased to announce that Theresa Jeyi was elected as the new Chief Whip of the George Municipal Council. Theresa’s proven leadership qualities will secure stability in council and ensure that council works in the interest of the residents it serves.

We wish to congratulate Jackie and Theresa on their election. Residents can be assured that they will build on the successes already achieved in the municipality.
